I'd leave the lid on for now to increase the humidity and also to encourage other seeds to germinate. Only take it off if there are signs of mildew (white thready cobwebs).

I grow seeds in a more or less sealed propagator, to keep the humidity up, as Rod says. I only open it to spray the plants. However, I do also spray with fungicide to prevent fungal attacks.
