BCSS has been nominated for the Aviva Community Fund, if we manage to secure sufficient votes then it is possible to get us to the tune of 10,000 pounds to support our community.

The link is below, hope you all can vote and support. Please feel free to spread the news

Voting closes on midday 21 Nov 2017 but please vote now, you need to register for an account using your email and login to vote but it will not take long. Use all 10 points on BCSS please.

I've just voted. Here's a tip for anyone who hasn't yet voted. I found it difficult to locate the society as there are many thousands of bodies vying for funding and the society didn't come onto the screen when I typed BCSS or the full name. In the end I just typed British in the search box and the society came up on the first page.

Following on from the 'facebook' thread, this is a perfect example of us doing social media badly - there's no mention of this on the Facebook Page (liked by 5775 people), in the Facebook Group (3506 members), on Twitter (1137 followers) or on Instagram (1315 followers). On the two facebooks, the pinned post is about the calendar. I know it would be good if this sold enough to avoid making a GBP296 loss as it did last year but surely it could be rotated with other things occasionally, such as this? or the membership offer?
