I know it is somewhat off topic but just got an email to say that's the Highways Agency have decided they won't be destroying 500 trees and cutting off a slice of Wisley.
This was due, in part, to the petition with 134,000 names.
Well done to all who signed. We managed to prevent an act of wanton vandalism.

Good news, but the cynic in me wonders whether this option was only proposed in order to ensure that the other option went through with minimum opposition!

Coming from a background of National Negotiations (industrial relations) it was an old ploy we used extensively.
Good fun though!
