RHS Kelkay sand alert!!!

Post by Karsty »

Just to let you all know, if you use RHS Kelkay horticultural grit sand, you may want to test it with battery electrolyte or some other good acid first, because I tested mine and it bubbled like a goodun. I've already contacted Kelkay about it, and they are investigating.

Hi Faelle, I have no idea. My guess is it would be easier to hide lime in sand than in grit, but the acid test is the way to check!

I use eco grit.

https://www.meadowviewstone.co.uk/produ ... eco-1-4mm/

Local garden center used to stock large bags but now they only have the smaller bags kept with the 'alpine' aggregates.

Tested it for conductivity and lime, both were ok.
