RHS Kelkay sand alert!!!
Just to let you all know, if you use RHS Kelkay horticultural grit sand, you may want to test it with battery electrolyte or some other good acid first, because I tested mine and it bubbled like a goodun. I've already contacted Kelkay about it, and they are investigating.

Oh my, I just got RHS Kelkay horticultural grit do you think it will have the same issue?
Re: RHS Kelkay sand alert!!!
Hi Faelle, I have no idea. My guess is it would be easier to hide lime in sand than in grit, but the acid test is the way to check!

I get my grit from the granite quarry up the road!

Re: RHS Kelkay sand alert!!!
I use eco grit.
https://www.meadowviewstone.co.uk/produ ... eco-1-4mm/
Local garden center used to stock large bags but now they only have the smaller bags kept with the 'alpine' aggregates.
Tested it for conductivity and lime, both were ok.
