Is there a way to get this working with a digital termostat? The manual setting seems good but I would prefer precise control of temperature.

Also would appreciate insights shared around creating a hotspot, what would that entail and how can I do that?
Some of my caudex plants are 20 cm wide and 5 cm tall and others are 15 cm wide and 30 cm tall....

Sure an external digital thermostat can be used to control accurately the Simplicity heater. BUT not that Inkbird, which is brilliant (I have one) but it only has a 10 amp rating which is fine for a 2kw heater but NOT a 3kw.

This would do the job

can you call them & moan, send it back and do a new order if they won't price match.
I ordered this one as I used my emergency spare recently so always keep a new one for back up & for 3kw its a good price, tempted to order 2.

If you want a separate digital thermostat, look for a WillHi. I used one of those as a replacement on an older Parwin, and it worked well (search the forum for a discussion), despite its low price. The only thing to be careful of is to get the correct model WH7016M - a 240V one which can switch 30A. Note that these are not a plug and socket type, so you will need to wire it in, into a waterproof box, etc.

Yes it's the thermostat that always goes on the Parwin.

And I got a refund on the new heater above without a quibble. Well done Greenhouse People!
