Yes I got one of those BioGreens a year ago, too. The special offers are worth waiting for - I paid £39.99 and today,s price is £69.99, a hefty difference. I,ve also got an Inkbird which has a better spec and more versatile, but it will only do 2kw.

Thanks to everyone who shared their valuable inputs. I decided to drill the greenhouse onto the deck and get it going this way for a few years; I will monitor it closely for rot.

How do I run the cable into the outdoor plugpoint? Through a crack in the glass?

Any suggestions on staging now as the ones I got with this greenhouse are rotten.
The staging on eBay are almost half the price compared to the ones on websites like Greenhouse people.... why so ?

I bought the aluminium set of this which is very sturdy. Feed in greenhouse staging at ebay. They do lots of different heights and lengths. I recommend Lacewing. Fiddly to put together but solid when built.

staging would have to be two wests, ask for there catalogue and then phone and ask for discount, normally works.

My plan was it will be armoured cabling till outside the greenhouse and I was thinking of putting an outdoor wall plug on there vertically on the wall behind the greenhouse. The intent was to then run the cable from the plug (outside the greenhouse) and keep the heater physically inside the greenhouse which would leave the cable exposed... presume that is not being suggested.

Should I just drill a hole on the floor of the deck,fix the plug above on the wooden surface and run the armoured cable through under the floor of the deck out till the power source? just trying to interpret your suggestion Tina

Thanks again folks for the compliments, I have been growing my plants indoor under 1000W grow lights all year round so this is really a dream come true!!!

Do I have to insulate it over winter? My Mrs would definitely not appreciate the bubble wrap... so happy to dish out for polycarbonate but not sure how that would work?

Thank you JaneO The bloke just charged me £90 to assemble it and drove 23 miles to do it... I had to tip him extra!

I might consider silicone sealing the base etc, not sure what the guidance is on that?

Electrics is not my strong suit! Have you considered using an outdoor dry box? We have several in garden for pond connexions and are quite safe? Must be an electrician on the forum who could advise? You did really well with installation and cheap! Nice to know there are some honest souls out there. Progress continues...

I have proper fuse boxes in my greenhouses and always get Baz to seal the edges/join to base with mastic. I did have mice coming up thru the decking at my old greenhouse but no damage done just a shock when I went to empty the bin and a mouse popped out.
