A busy day

Post by ralphrmartin »

Seeing as it was so warm and sunny, I thought I would plant my seed today. I managed to put about 1/2 of the packets in (this was seed saved up over the last 3 years when I didn't have any space, as well as this year's). Hopefully there will be plenty for swaps in due course!

It's all looking hopeful Ralph, happiness is a day in the greenhouse, especially so after a cold winter.

Ralph, It would take me 3 or 4 days to get that many done, it took me 2 hours to do 12 pots of seed

Is that a large heated propogator Ralph, or is the green house heat doing the business. Would you mind sharing seed raising composts etc for the not so successful seed raisers such as my self. Thanks

Equal parts John Innes and vermiculite work fine for me.

That propagator is huge Ralph! It's bigger than my greenhouse. Looking beautifully neat and tidy. Hope the seeds appreciate your care and reward you. Good luck.

I had lots of time too, early on in retirement, but it did not last.
