Cono seeds

Post by jhb »

Hi all.
Looking for a bit of advice please. I'm hoping that I get all the cono seeds I've ordered from the MSG. Would it be too late to sow them now .
Regards. Jayne.

Definitely not too late.
Conophytums grow very slowly from seed, so you need to give them as long a growing season as you can. Sowing them early in the year is part of achieving this. The other thing is that they won't germinate if conditions are too hot. About 15C is the maximum temperature for germination.
I'm waiting for my MSG seed order to arrive (no post since Monday, due to the weather). Will be aiming to sow them as soon as I can after they arrive.
