Re: Photos
On a PC.
First one is sideways but has the correct orientation when cliched.
Second one is ok in both views.

Re: Photos
First one stays sideways for me using chrome browser but when I downloaded a copy it displayed correctly in windows file explorer which has correctly interpreted the orientation tag "Rotate 90" in the exif data from your Samsung

On the first one I took it with my phone in the upright position and the second one was with my phone held sideways.......

Re: Photos
What it means is that there is an ongoing problem with how various devices store images in the supposedly universal standard jpg format and how they are subsequently displayed. A picture taken with the camera/tablet/phone in the same orientation as the sensor is most likely to display correctly - longest edge horizontal for most devices but might have to be upside down as JaneO discovered.AntonyC wrote:Thanks Jim....... but what does that mean to a thickie like me?

Only fix found to date to guarantee all images display correctly is to use photo editing software that changes order of pixels in stored image before uploading so that display software does not have to rotate it.
