Re: Crassula pyramadilis
are these plants seedlings or cuttings?
seedlings you can let flower and fertilize to make seeds again
cuttings only keep a flowering stem because the flowering stem will die

Surely they might well branch after flowering? One of them already is...

Re: Crassula pyramadilis
I too suspect these seedlings(?) will die after flowering, even the lateral branch, which may well yet try to flower.
Cutting the centre out of one may keep it alive.
I had a large multi-branched plant grown from seed once and every single branch simultaneously flowered.
Best wishes,
Derek Tribble

Re: Crassula pyramadilis
My plant doesn't die after flowering, it just throws side branches. On the other hand, it is a much bigger, much branched plant. In fact, I have several plants of this under different names (e.g. C. archeri), some of which are more robust than others.

Re: Crassula pyramadilis
Thanks Ralph. It doesn't look as though it is going to die! I live in hope. I have removed one seedling from pot and transplanted. None of the websites suggest death after flowering. So nice to have positive input. Thank you.i

Re: Crassula pyramadilis
There are definitely other Crassulas which do die after flowering, however. Crassula alpestris is one (for me, at least), and Crassula columnaris, Crassula barbata are others. If you are lucky they might offest before flowering. It's a shame, as the latter two are real gems.
