Re: Bargain in my local gc
Its often a surprise what the garden centres charge I just rehomed some for a family members whos parent had died and what they paid was mad, as we gave them to our youngest member. They were nice plants but not special or rare

Re: Bargain in my local gc
This particular gc is expensive generally but occasionally they have something nice. Sometimes they even have a name! For example they had a couple of large mature ferocactus last year for about £30 and then they had a random echinopsis hybrid in a 4 inch pot for the same price.

Re: Bargain in my local gc
My local, quite small, garden centre has just had a massive infusion of cacti and succulents, literally hundreds of them. The pricing is very strange, with some very ordinary tiny plants costing more than some quite large and desirable ones. Nothing that expensive though. Just for once all the flowers were real, although I did spot some googly eyes that might be a hangover from Xmas.
