Re: ID please
Could be a variegated Portulacaria afra as new growth is red
Re: ID please
Thanks both. So will it return to normal with age? If so I shall be disappointed as I have lots of this!

Re: ID please
It should stay variegated. If it starts to revert to normal, take the reversions off and you will keep the variegation.
Obsessive Crassulaceae lover, especially Aeoniums but also grow, Aloes, Agaves, Haworthias and a select number of Cacti.

Hi Liz,
Thanks I apologise for not being clear. I meant would the stems stay red! That was why I bought plant. I hope they do because I have lots of this plant without red stems!
Thanks Jane

Hi Jim,
Thanks.
Not I wanted to hear but never mind.

Re: ID please
This is the better of the two variegated forms, the other one has cream on the edges of the leaves and often turns up in garden centres. This form is slower and makes a nice bonsai-looking plant with a bit of occasional trimming.
