Where to get pots?

Post by ralphrmartin »

I would have thought it was simple, but I can't seem to find a supplier of strongish, shallow 8cm ± 0.5cm pots, in a quantity of 500 or so, Can anyone recommend a supplier?

Not sure they sell direct on amazon in those quantities (in fact I’m sure they don’t) but if you search T4U or T4U888 on amazon they do a massive range of ceramic and plastic pots. I’ve just picked up some 10.4cm plastic pots for your plants (& Janes although might need a deeper one for that)

I think they are a Chinese company as some pots are supplied by amazon and the ones that aren’t give a delivery date of time it takes to deliver from there. Not really sure what the ‘good’ pots are made of from the above sticky link (where that gentleman has sadly passed away) but these are definitely more solid than usual pots.

On googling the name google suggested ‘wholesale’ as the second word so clearly they probably do larger numbers directly and have a European arm so I reckon you’d get them from the Euro arm and thus not get charged import tax

These are the recent purchase pots. Have also got smaller than these which are more ‘pot shaped’ while these are shallower

I am bound to say try 'Maries Pots Direct' that advertise in the CactusWorld Journal each issue.

Not biased or anything !

Ray suggested Uhlig, and they look like the best bet so far, thanks

Rich, I'm afraid I couldn't see what I was after at T4U

Ok, found Maries Pots, but the size I am after is out of stock; I was really looking for a shallower pot anyway...
