Here is today's pic of the discocactus I've mentioned a year ago. Seems it was a cephalium. Plant has been grafted 5 years ago. Good news is that few other discos I've grafted the same year have started to grow cephaliums...

That is lovely. I have a Disco on own roots and another grafted. No cephalium yet.

I don't know how long it takes for discos to grow cephalium in regular way of growing. Most likely more than 5 years. This one is grafted on echinopsis, I have several others grafted on myrtillo and tricho and some of them started cephalium this year as well. My goal (when grafted them) wasn't to speed up the flowering but to protect them from my lack of care. I admit I enjoy just watching them the way they are now. Strong and healthy plants. From the top
