How much water to give echinopsis seedlings?
I have some echinopsis seedlings that came up a couple of weeks ago, they don't seem to be growing very fast, should the compost be kept moist or should I let it dry out between waterings, also do I need to feed at this stage?

You cannot have a direct link to a pdf on the website.
Go to this page: http://www.society.bcss.org.uk/index.ph ... tion1.html
and scroll down to the bottom and click on the link Seed Raising.
The pages in the document are ordered 1,4,3,2 since that is set up for original printing

Tony, I don't suppose this is down to you and I don't know who it is but can't we reorder them? This is a key resource from the society and baffeling to the uninitiated?

Re: How much water to give echinopsis seedlings?
If the seedlings are not covered with a plastic cover they will dry out and die.
Echinopsis and Trichocereus seedlings can be grown open, but the soil will need to be kept moist not damp or wet.
Put them into shade with bright light not direct sun and spray twice a day they should grow quite quickly.
Hope this helps

Re: How much water to give echinopsis seedlings?
There is no need to feed seedlings. That's why it's probably not mentioned.Echinops32 wrote:Thanks, the article does not seem to mention feeding seedlings/small cacti?Tony R wrote:You cannot have a direct link to a pdf on the website.
