Chris,
William Sinclair who made Arthur Bowers products went into liquidation in 2015.
It was bought out by Westland who currently maintain the business:

So, in some parts of the country, you can buy one or the other or both of the Westland and Arthur Bowers ranges of JI composts, which are now both sold by Westland. Who knows, one day they might even contain the same product

Re: John Innes no 2 question
Sorry I don't know what it will be like but I do know that I can usually 'find' a slightly damaged bag when ever I am looking at compost or grit in a DIY shed or garden centre.Chris in Leeds wrote:Has anyone tried the john innes no 2 made by Growmoor as I have just bought a bag to try from Gordon Riggs garden centre as it felt alright through the bag
