Don't know how to prevent or cure black crud, but thankfully rare here. Does that actually mean I do know how to prevent it?
Its now a lot easier to spot which is the flower and which isn't. Even with the pesky mite photo-bombing me.
No rhyme or reason to it, but this one is just making two flowers. And this one went the other way, no flowers at all.

I got 2 flowers and one new joint on my T. geometricus this year; first time it has flowered. I have removed the joints that developed black crud, and have regularly sprayed it with "Rose Clear" which is suppose to contain a systemic fungicicde. We'll see if I get more black crud or not....
