Lots of spines, but eventually it is going to be a flower if the plant doesn't topple over from the weight first.

Flower is nothing special. Fairly big, fairly pink, but there are definitely nicer Echinocereus flowers.

There were petals in there. Fairly large and fairly pink. Here it is with E. davisii on its second flush.

That flower doesn't look that bad!

It's much nicer than the majority of Mammillaria flowers, that's for sure!
