Well... It's a Euphorbia, but that's as far as I'm going...

It appears to be a single-stemmed Euphorbia millii. It has a nice stem, with a row of spines spirally round it. I have one that is multi-stemmed, I thought they always were. This is mine

Thanks Liz! That's a beautiful plant you have there. My neighbor has had hers for almost 10 years. I don't think she has ever even repotted it. That might be why it has remained a single stem. She keeps it strictly indoors.

I hope that was helpful. As you must realise by now, it's not cactus but a succulent. It would benefit from re-potting with fresh compost, as most plants do. I put mine outside in summer, in the UK we get plenty of rain, plus the warmth means it grows really well. I water mine all year round, very generously in summer and feed it occasionally also in summer.
Obsessive Crassulaceae lover, especially Aeoniums but also grow, Aloes, Agaves, Haworthias and a select number of Cacti.
