This is the new species Cremnocereus albipilosus.

Amazing how quickly things get into cultivation. I knew that there were some seeds of this species in circulation but not relatively large seedlings. Based on when it was identified as something new, this plant cannot be more than about 2.5 years old. If you do not know it, a photo is on the cover of the 2017 Bradleya.

I guess that this new species will fall under the Nagoya Protocol, so it will be interesting to see how the authorities deal with it.
