A success story
I've had this plant for many years - Euphorbia tulearensis; it was grafted. At the end of this winter, the stock rotted, so rather sadly I thought that was the end of it. Nevertheless, I cut it off the stock, and treated it as a cutting. To my amazament, and great pleasure, it seems to have rooted!

Re: A success story
Oh, well done, Ralph! I have a much smaller plant on its own roots and an even smaller one, which I have been able to cross, and have a couple of seedlings resulting from that cross. An incredibly slow plant...

Yes, very slow. Grows about 1-2mm each year, and the leaves are tiny. I'm truly impressed that you have produced your own seedlings. Well done!

Re: A success story
I've just taken a photo of mine, the top two are the ones I bought on their own roots, and the bottom one is the pot of two seedlings that were sown in July 2016, so only two years old.
Not the best photo, I have to say, taken quickly.
Your plant looks very venerable, and much better clothed with "spines" and leaves than mine. (mine live in the propagator all winter, they only come out when temps are favourable!

I have sown some three years ago. They are still tiny, and smaller than the two year old ones above.
Real slow indeed (but mine apparently even slower).

Re: A success story
Really very nice Ralph and Diane, I had to give up on this kind of Euphorbia as I cannot keep the heating up enough seemingly and the larger greenhouse I have space in is unheated. Those seedlings look great too, well done.
