I have a modest collection of hybrid Echinopsis - about 40 plants, (not as large a collection as Sylvias… ) and they are very uninteresting for about 9 months of the year.
But, when they come into flower - boy! quite a spectacle! Shame they only last a day unless the weather is very cool.
These greeted me this morning, so I thought they were worth a few photos...
Maybe Sylvia will add some of hers...

There's no denying the beauty of their flowers. The problem is having somewhere where they can spend the rest of the year.
I'm more than happy to see your photos!

These are beautiful Diane, I especially like the candy striped one at the front. Thanks for sharing.

A lovely display, Diane, and a real variety of colours.

What interests me particularly is the synchronous flowering of all of these diverse hybrids. I only live a couple of km from Diane and I had a whole bundle of Echinopsis hybrids flowering on the same day. Our greenhouses will be sited and managed quite differently but we both experience similar weather conditions. There must be some point maybe a month or so ago when temperature, light or some other factor caused initiation of the buds.

Lovely Diane. Mine have been flowering for a couple of days now and still more to come.
