That is beautiful, Ralph. Very unusual colouration. I suppose it won't last more than a day or so, although if the Tricho gene is dominant it might last for a few days.

In the desert, Trichocerei quite often seem to open at might, and be over by the afternoon, so I don't think that would help.

However, even in this week's heat, this flower has managed a second day, unlike many of my Echinopsis flowers.
