Monster repot
With lots of help from my other half we managed to repot this Mammillaria geminispina v nobilis yesterday. It will be its last repot as I cannot lift it now. I wanted to give it to a friend of mine to bed out but Colin wouldn't hear of it. We put it on a trolley and wheeled it carried it etc., to our patio table for me to repot then back again. I video would have been fun. I grew it from seed bought from de hertz way back in 1989.

Many congratulations on a huge job very well done. Don't you just love re-potting?

Re: Monster repot
Wow. Well done.
I can see it’s big but can’t judge scale, so just how big? What has best part of 30 years growth gotten you?

Re: Monster repot
Hi Rich: Have just measured the plant and it is approximately 54 centimeters across. I have not re-potted it for sometime. It is the largest plant in my collection although I have other plants that I have grown from seed over the years. It will probably now start filling the pot again!!

Wow. Sorry for delay in replying. I was away in deepest darkest Wales with little to no phone signal let alone 3G.
That’s rather inspiring. Only bought plants up to know. Growing from seed will Be next on the list!
Thanks

Re: Monster repot
A lovely plant Sylvia. I thought of you today when I did a rather less monster repot of a Mammillaria hahniana
I also cannot lift this and had help from my husband. I was horrified to realise that I last repotted it in 1996! Anyhow, it seems to have survived, maybe against the odds, and is now happier in a 10" pot, the plant is about 12" tall.Croydon Branch member, growing mainly cacti and Echeverias
