I believe that Manfreda elongata is classified as a succulent but if it isn't then I'll trust admin to move it to the appropriate forum.
Anyway, my Manfreda elongata seems to appreciate a cold winter and this year is no exception............

It was looking rather bad back in April and I was half expecting a long slow death but once I spotted a flower spike emerging my worries were over.

Re: Manfreda elongata
Interesting!
Could you post a shot or two of the whole plant too?
I've got M. longiflora seedlings progressing, I had some hopes they'd flower this year, but it seems not.

Re: Manfreda elongata
This looks good, well done! I would also be interested to see photos of the whole plant, and more of the flower spike as it develops.

Re: Manfreda elongata
That is an unusual and very attractive flower (& bud) spike, nicely photographed.
