Mammillaria perezdelarosae seeds

Post by fatich »

I bought some seeds from Koehres and none of them have germinated so far.
These seeds require any special treatments like luethyi, theresae, bertholdii etc.?

From my limited experience I would say no they require no special treatment. I had good germination from Piltz and KKHK seed in the last couple of years. Unsurprising as this is arguably distinct from bombycina.

So the problem is with the seeds, 2weeks passed and not a single germination out of 60seeds.
Also i bought some other species they have also low germination.
Koehres disappointed me.

In 2016 over some 27 species of Mammillaria my AVERAGE days until first germination was 12 days. In 2017 10 days average for 23 species, so I wouldn't be giving up hope yet. Koehres I have found better than some, with 80% of packets resulting positively.
