Tavaresia barklyi

Post by Sylvia »

Really chuffed this morning as my plant opened one of its flowers this morning. Grew this plant from seed in July 2014. The seed came from the Asclepiad Society:-

Unfortunately I couldn't get a really good picture of the flower.

Lovely plant & lovely long trumpets, its a plant I grow but every time I get it to a decent size, say 5" pot. It rots/ dies and I have to start again from cuttings

varied collection of succulents and cacti but I especially like Euphorbia's, Ariocarpus and variegated agaves.

This is in a 4 1/4 pot Tina. I have grown one in a 5 1/2" pot so hope this will go on growing.

My earlier reply seems not to have posted. Well done, Sylvia! It's so nice to get these into flower, you must be well chuffed!

Wow, quick work! I sowed T. grandiflora this year, and it's already 2" high, sprouting 2 arms, and recognisable. But you must have been feeding yours rocket fuel...
