Ralph, I was looking to take a pic of my seedlings and I had misread - what I had in mind was indeed F. angelesiae

Seed bought as F angelesiae P390 (Concordia, Entre Rios, Arg) from the Society 2017/8 distribution.
Here are the ones I have as the result - some slight flash bounce off their surface

And I find I have also some 2017 sown seedings of F. angelesii (sic) [GK_3385/91] from the ADBLPS list, one of which has set seed.

Cactus Moravia seedlist has F. angelesii P 390, Entre Rios, Argentina, 150m.

The New Cactus Lexicon has this plant named as F. mammifera ssp. angelesiae from Entre Rios, Concordia.

Hi Alan and Ralph thanks for your posts. I'm quite pleased with my seedlings and their progress and I will be posting photos of them as they get bigger. Being new to the hobby I'm not after specialist type plants but I'm keen to make a good job of the seeds I raise- even if the names aren't correct! I know with the help of the forum members I will eventually get the correct names! Btw I think Frailea Angelensis does fit my little seedlings so I will be typing out another label tomorrow....!

Yes when they are bigger I will be looking to swap some!

Thanks

Debbie

As it happens, this web "reprint" of a 2008 CactusWorld article about Fraileas features F. angelesiae, and gives some advice on cultivation. I personally would be wary of overwatering, and follow the watering advice with care, especially regarding containers with no holes, but in general I consider they are not fussy plants and will be happy in normal well-drained cactus compost, and they do like sun (especially if you are actually going to achieve full flowering), and drying out between watering. They are not large growing and can sit happily together without repotting for quite a while.
