Lithops verruculosa
Lithops verruculosa, a fairly typical form
These seedlings are supposed to be the cultivar 'Rose of Texas'. Only time will tell, but they don't have quite the right look top me. Rather they suggest var. glabra, pale, a shortage of red pimples, none at all on one plant, and not red on another.
These actually are 'Rose of Texas' and have flowered to prove it. I managed to blow out the red pimples (what's the opposite of red-eye?) and didn't do a good job of capturing the lovely blue shading on the shoulders that this summer's sun has brought out, but still a classic of what this cultivar looks like out of flower.
