I was thinking the same thing. My spachianus is much more spiny. The flower should give an indication.

Hi all, it could be E pachanoi, as I grew both plants from seed the same time a few years ago when I was going to use them for grafting stock. Stayed up till midnight but has not opened yet lol. The bud is now nearly 7inches long, so perhaps tonight. Cheers

Eric, your plant is identical to what I have as T. pachanoi, though mine has not flowered yet.
