Re: ELK 2018
What people haven't said is what an amazing event it is, the choice, range, variety and quality of plants is amazing. Over the years I have been going I have managed to find all but one plant from my wish list and hundreds of others I hadn't realised I needed.
When you are there you walk sideways in a crab motion with your head down, it's the highlight of my year and a mega shopathon for me, only to be trumped by national show year.
What has to be appreciated is it's all FREE , the sales area's, lectures are normally in 3 or 4 launguages and the stalls are a very reasonable( cheap) price to hire for the weekend.
You don't just get large traders selling but lots of hobbyists just selling spare plants, these often have I interesting one offs or large plants they don't want any more.
Also if you stay at duinse polders the food is quite nice top, there is a lot of variety so even for picky eaters there is normally something you like. The guys especially like the beer on tap -self service

Couldn't have put it better myself Tina - perfect description. Great place to see people from various countries that I only see once a year, don't miss the BCSS publicity stand hidden away from the main daytime public areas, and where is the self-service beer - have I missed something!

Re: ELK 2018
It's self service, but you still have to pay for it.
I was amazed to see the lads at the stalls having their few beers as the day dragged on.
