Newbie needs advice regarding overwintering seedlings

Post by el48tel »

I joined the BCSS a few weeks ago and set about buying cacti and setting seeds. Out of the 4 freebies I have 2 species growing; out of the 9 I got from the Seed bank I have 8 growing; and out of the 11 US imports I bought I have 9 growing; I have some "mixed" seeds which I was given which are all growing.
These are all snug in a heated propagator unit and get a regular misting a couple of times each day.
So .....
Do I keep them all warm at 20plus all winter?
Treat them like adults and let them cool and hibernate?
HELP please!
Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs.

Ho big are they? If pea size, they are safe to treat as adults.

However, if you are going to keep them warm, also give them some water.
