Hello
I have been given a standard Sempervivum which has been outside summer and winter. Its new home is now in Scotland. With average night time winter temperatures being around 2C - to -4C, can this particular variety be kept outside in the winter?

Re: Sempervivum and winter temperatures.
It looks a hardy variety, so may well be okay. I know Allan A on this Forum grows semps up in Orkney.
Others, in very wet climates, put a sheet of glass over them, so they get some protection from the wet but are still outside. I grow all mine outside all year (but I live in Kent) but they love a covering of snow.
