Staying with friends who are putting my very limited succulent knowledge to the test.
Any idea of the cultivars please?

Escheveria and Crassula ID please
Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs.

Re: Escheveria and Crassula ID please
The Echeveria might be 'Perle von Nurnberg', but there are other similar cultivars. It seems to have been rather mishandled, and not in the best condition, which doesn't help to ID. The Crassula is probably C. perforata.

Echeveria (as indicated by Diane), not Escheveria.

Please ask your friends to pot their plants in pots with drainage holes and proper compost, for instance 50% John Innes and 50% grit or similar. Put them in a sunny window and don't let anything touch them, if possible. I understand small children and cats etc don't worry about touching things. I hate to see sad looking plants.
Obsessive Crassulaceae lover, especially Aeoniums but also grow, Aloes, Agaves, Haworthias and a select number of Cacti.

Thanks for that. I did buy some grit this morning from the garden centre with which to do that very task whilst dinner is cooking. And the window sill on which they sit is sunny for much of the day but without direct sunlight after 10 am. Cats and kids do NOT live at the address.

Are they planted in glass tealight holders? How strange.

Affirmative ... in tealight holders. They were the nameplates / seating indicators for their son's wedding last year. The plants have survived without TLC. Ours were replanted more appropriately long ago.
