Here are some pictures from the show today - very well attended with over 400 entries. It was a beautiful autumn day here in Birmingham. I should have taken some pictures of the gardens too, with the sun and the autumn colours, and there is a very nice outdoor display of cacti and succulents to be seen too (not for much longer, though). This year we teamed up again with the Haworthia Society, which is always exciting. There is no better way to appreciate the variety within this group of plants than seeing them in an exhibition like this.

Thanks for posting these Christian, there are some lovely plants there and it looks like it was a great show. Obviously a lot of work went into the day and I'm sure it was enjoyed by your visitors.

Wow, that's quick, photos on here before I've even got home from the show. The Ariocarpus in the first photo was odd, I only saw it after the show but it looks like Trigonus but with pink flowers. Maybe a hybrid? Good public attendance, many had come specially for the show, plenty of plants sold and a great venue. The attendance was possibly so high because the weather had been poor the day before so Sunday was a much better day to visit the Gardens than on the Saturday. The branch members who turned up early did a great job moving tables and sorting the hall out - it had been left full of chairs from an event the night before. The add Haworthia section made it well worth the 400 mile round trip.
