Hello Ali Baba, hello all,
Thank you for your confirmation Ali Baba. Are you sure they are completely safe? On Wikipedia it's said that they can eat living plants...
About the skin of my Dinteranthus, does anyone know what the problem is?

Re: Pests in the substrate of my seedlings
When I raise Dinteranthus vanzlii 'Emerald' from seed I find that the 'Emerald' seedlings are often attacked by western flower thrips whereas the normal buff-coloured ones are not attacked by thrips. It might be thrips damage on yours but I am not absolutely convinced.

Re: Pests in the substrate of my seedlings
Ok, thank you Terry, I'll have a better look to them tonight and will wait for their new leaves to see if this problem persists.
Sincerely.
Sincerely.

I would spray them. What's to lose?
