A first for me- Othonna protecta

Post by Ernie » Mon Nov 12, 2018 12:53 pm

In flower this morning. During the last 50 year or so collecting I have never had Othonna protecta in my collections.
I got this one earlier this year from someone in Holland. Its in flower and growing well.

I haven't got that one either. Really nice and a treat to see it flowering. Lucky you!
First it was orchids, then, since c.2001, cacti and succulents. I'm into South African plants, mainly conos, lithops and haworthias, with a few cacti, especially 'posh' mamms, turbs and other smalls.

That's a nicely shaped plant. One or two of my Othonnas have been flowering too...
