Just to let you know that the December issue of The Essex Succulent Review is now available at https://www.essexsucculentreview.org.uk/

I have something really special for you this time. I am including a whole series of drawings of Dorstenia by Phil Hughes (Lithos on the forum). Regular forum readers may well remember the drawings he posted on here some time ago which generated a lot of interest.

I have plenty more as well ranging from the perils of photographing plants in South Africa, Chris Rodgerson (ChrisR on the forum) to the perils of building a greenhouse in Essex, Chris Coombs (Cactus Kid).

It is a beautifully put together publication with high quality pictures and articles, imo as good as any of the international society mags I have read. I simply don't know how you do it just on your own, Sheila.

Thank you to everyone for your posts.

Of course I'm not really doing this all on my own – I couldn't do it at all if I didn't have people to write for me. So this is a good opportunity to thank everyone who has ever helped me with any article for the ESR.

There wouldn't be any point in doing it if there were no people to read it, so I would also like to thank everyone who reads the ESR, or has subscribed to it.

I agree with what the others here have said. It's a fab magazine and I always enjoy it. This month's was extra interesting and I loved the drawings. (But then I love dorstenias....Note to self: buy some more!)
