Question about seed list.

Post by el48tel »

What happens to the unsold seed from the 2018/9? Is it possible to request further seeds from those unsold in the first requests?
Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs.

No idea. And it's a good question....
First it was orchids, then, since c.2001, cacti and succulents. I'm into South African plants, mainly conos, lithops and haworthias, with a few cacti, especially 'posh' mamms, turbs and other smalls. Now it’s stapeliads as well...

Does it not become 'our choice of seed' for a lower price?

Another most excellent question!

Hi,

A lot of the unsold seeds, if not all, is passed on to the Membership Secretary, Tony Morris, to enable him to put a few packets in the Welcome Packs which new members receive along with their growing leaflets, letter of welcome which includes their membership number. So it is put to good use.

So anyone who has surplus seed which they think might be useful for this exercise send it in to Tony.

Regards, Suzanne
