a.k.a. Eriosyce taltalensis subs. paucicostata?
Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs.

It is a question of dimensions too.
This is Eriosyce aurata or E. cer..., iho... (choose the name you like).

Thanks Norbert I will label it as aurata for now.
There was a very untidy clumping Opuntia at the same site which looked to me like M glomerata. but it had no flowers to assist with id.
