I agree with the Melocactus.
The first is a Stapelia, perhaps grandiflora.

I thought Stapelia grandiflora but wasn't sure the flowers were big enough, I was waiting for Mike to tell us.

I have searched on line for Melocactus Horrida but can not find any mention of it.
The Stapelia i have found two or three that match the flowers.

Check out Melocactus horridus rather than horrida.
Yes, the Stapelia is now hirsuta rather than asterias but grandiflora and getliffei are all similar.
