Re: Favourite Tylecodon
try the baggy method but keep a check as it's not good long term for succulents

Re: Favourite Tylecodon
I find that if Tylecodon seeds are going to germinate, they do it in a couple of days. So what's the point of putting them in a plastic bag for two days? I suspect that they would quickly die if kept in the bag after germination.
This plastic bag method was developed by Ken Burk (of Pete and Ken nursery fame) who used it to raise cacti from seed on a big scale. The bags were pegged to wires all over a relatively small greenhouse that was heated to quite a high temperature. They were left in the bags for many months or even a year and acclimatisation was done by first splitting the bags. However, I do not think the method works well for many of the other succulents.

Re: Favourite Tylecodon
I suggested this as I haven't been going into the greenhouse as often but do agree it's not always a safe method for succulents and can't be used long term.
You have more experience than me so go with Terry's advice
