Seems like you want to be a Moderator (again) Tina - would you like to take my place?

Nope, just mentioning it to the poster as he is a newbie.
I liked the old team, very friendly bunch and more dynamic forum then

I have lots of mangled cuttings available as a hanging pot fell down but no roots and sections seriously damaged but will root and throw up new offsets unless you want perfect for a fast fix.

A pity you don't want to take over
But perhaps you could enlighten us as to the required attributes of an 'old team' Moderator so that my successor knows what is required of him/her.
And, surely, how dynamic the Forum is, is down to the contributors not the Moderators.
RIP Tony.

PS As you may know, to get back on topic, this species is one of my favourite, see (September 2012 PoM:

Tony,
Very off topic but you asked so remember I was the first moderator of the forum I did quite like the title 'she who must be obeyed  . I asked Vik to join after a while and then later we invited Bob to be a mod, we were all friends who met up at events and phoned between one another.
We all knew a lot of forumites ( Vik was also a zone rep) and there seemed more banter between people, maybe its just changed as people don't socialise as much and/or live further away. As a trio no rash decisions were made and we had to agree at least 2:1 on changes, problems, problem forumites etc.

Yes when the forum was quiet I would hope moderators could start threads but if everyone tried to post a new thread at least once a week it would be a lot more interesting and we could learn from others experience.
Its not too hard to post a plant picture and ask whats your favourite member of the genus or hardest to grow plant for you, plant you most want but can't find, plant that you have grown from seed and proud of, ugliest plant, nicest flower etc etc.
The forum could be so much more with a little effort from everyone.
feel free to delete this

Thank you for your insight, Tina.
There is your opportunity everyone!

Meanwhile, keep on growing Cleistocactus everyone and, if you don't, you should really try one.
