Hello everybody. I sowed many different species of Lithops and Cono seed from the Society and Succseed a couple of weeks ago and have had excellent germination using the bag method however I'm now wondering how long I should leave the seedlings in the closed humid atmosphere of a plastic bag. Should I remove them and if so when.

Now? See
http://www.smale-conophytum.co.uk/grow_conos.htm
http://www.smale-conophytum.co.uk/grow_lithops.htm
which recommend free air circulation after germination. You won't get much better advice.
I wouldn't do baggy with these so can't confirm from experience.

They're fine in the bags for germination and a few weeks afterwards. They'll have to come out eventually or they'll never shed their seed leaves, which should happen in 2-4 months. You also won't be able to give them much sun. They're also very tolerant of coming into the fresh air, so don't worry about it. I have mine all out in the sun now, looking very happy. Most were sown in early January, a few at the end of January.

Yes, a closed environment of some description for about 2 weeks. Once germination has taken place get some air flow around them. At the moment with all this sunshine, I am having to mist-spray the young cono seedlings about every other day.

Re: Debagging Lithops and Cono seedlings
Thankyou for the advice everybody. I didn't provide the Conos with any bottom heat, I placed them in the warmer ( part of the greenhouse (13C) and the wonderful warm sunny weather did the rest
