Bowiea Volubilis seedlings

Post by Cactusgirl »

Hi my seeds have now germinated and as can be seen in the photo are growing well. Should i now take them out of the bag? What do others do? Thanks

Yes, they can go out of the bag if you are happy with the germination rate. If there are more seeds left that still need germinating, and you feel confident they might still germinate, you could leave the pot in for a bit longer. Although that probably also depends on how long it has been in the bag already.

Are these from seed of my plants, by any chance?

Interesting plant, I donated seed to our seed bank a few years ago. It loves water when in full growth, but take care, this plant has been sited as slightly toxic. Cheers

Thanks Eric for the advice. I will wear gloves when I handle the plants.
