Ensure that the BCSS has your email address. Your Branch Secretary should be able to check for you. When I took over as Branch Secretary I was amazed at how poor the records were. Even a couple of BCSS 'bigwigs', whose email addresses frequently appear in CactusWorld and on the website were listed with blank spaces in the email address field. Don't assume it's in your record. If you inform your Branch Secretary of a new one be clear whether you're asking them to inform the BCSS Membership Secretary or whether you're doing that bit yourself. Again, don't assume they'll automatically do it for you.
Branch Secretaries: it's worth getting all of your meeting attenders to check the details you get printed out for you as you see them over the course of a few meetings. As a branch, we now use the email addresses to send out a monthly email too, and of the 34 members who attended a Branch meeting over the last year only one doesn't have an email address.

Unfortunately, the subscribe button in the link does not work. If you open one of the issues and then click on 'view in browser' a subscribe button that does work will be available top left.

Alternatively, PM me with your email address and we will add it to the database.
