Variegated or Virus in Pachypodium seedlings

Post by peter831shaw »

I have seen some images of what is called a variegation but this batch of seedlings seems a bit over the top, and might be a virus?

They all look healthy to me. Where did you buy the seeds and were they sold as non-variegated and a specific species?
Rod Smith

Growing a mixed collection of cacti & other succulents; mainly smaller species with a current emphasis on lithops & conophytum.

The two things do not have to be mutually exclusive. The variegated cultivars of a number of garden plants such as Abutilon are due to virus infection.

Lovely, I'll take em off your hands if your worried   .
I had a batch of agave utahensis seed once with terminal variegation, they couldn't make enough chlorophyll- a real shame

the seeds came from the Cactus and Succulent Society of America just recently. I can order some seed for you if you want them...

We'll see how they grow.
