I wasn't expecting an Oreocereus to start clumping just yet, but here it goes

In my case it means mother plant is going to die. Or won't grow because of some top damage. Lets hope my case isn't your case

O. trollii clumps at a smaller size, in my experience.

Indeed, they do. Here are three I grew from seed quite a few years ago.
