Re: Speaking of Mammillarias
The little ones are stealing the show at the moment: M. tepexicensis, M. humboldtii, and M. perezedelaroase ssp andersoniana (M. pectinifera photobombing at the bottom, but it has finished flowering).

Some yellow Mammillarias today. M. solisioides (late?), M. longimamma, M. baumii, and M. crinita.

One of my favourites is M. albiflora. M. herrerae in the background has very different flowers.
Some appear to have a slight pink flush, just reflection from the stamens.

Re: Speaking of Mammillarias
Terrific albiflora, Ian. I was disappointed when mine flowered for the first time with a pink tinge...

Re: Speaking of Mammillarias
I can see how that would be disappointing. I find the white flowers a bit part of their appeal. I've seen the flowers described as having a pale pink flush, but most don't seem to, just the stamens at most. This one is about as pink as I've seen. Perhaps the ones in cultivation have been selected for having white flowers.ralphrmartin wrote: ↑Sat May 25, 2019 7:49 pm Terrific albiflora, Ian. Re: Speaking of Mammillarias
This was on parade for me. I think they were building up to it during the rainy weather, and just the slightest hint of sun brought them all out. Nice scent from M. baumii, none from M. longimamma.
